But, we never pass up an opportunity to celebrate Halloween.

In the past several years, we’ve put our spin on Halloween with a special ProtoPumpkin, using aspects of our quick-turn custom manufacturing.

With Halloween right around the corner, we thought it was the perfect time to show off our #ProtoPumpkins from past years. Check them out below!

Sheet Metal ProtoPumpkin

This Safety-Orange powdercoated sheet-metal pumpkin is one of our favorites. The welding that went into making this ProtoPumpkin — perfection! Check out the video below to see how we made this cool custom sheet-metal pumpkin. 

CNC Milling a Real Pumpkin

In 2018, marketing had a great idea — we would mill a real pumpkin for Halloween! Well, we got the video, but it did not come without a giant mess. #WorthIt

3D Printed ProtoPumpkin

We had CNC milled a real pumpkin in the past and created our own Safety-Orange powdercoated sheet-metal pumpkin, so in October 2019, we decided to 3D Print a pumpkin. Check out the timelapse:

We learned our lesson from October 2018 – no more real pumpkins in the mill! So instead, in October 2020, we went with a CNC machined pumpkin. The finishing touch of laser marking really adds to the “wow” factor!
